Balaram Mullick & Radharam Mullick is synonymous with Bengali mithais. Not only are their products fresh and delicately flavoured but with foresight and novelty they have moved with the times. Their innovations and novelty have helped them reach out to the non-Bengali clientele as well. This year they have opened yet another speciality branch in Rajdanga Main Road, as a tribute to the original Bengali delicacies. Jolbhora, Amrita Paturi, Baked Rasogulla are their specialities, as are their Naram-paker Nolen Gur Jolbhora and Mango Jolbhora, Chocolate Sandesh, Beet Rasogulla and Chocolate Kaju Burfi. But don’t miss the Mango Doi! With the advent of winter, one sees offerings like the Nolen Gurer Mousse, Gokul Pithe, Atar Payesh and Lichur Payesh pulling-in the crowds. Balaram Mullick & Radharam Mullick has several branches across the length and breadth of the city.

Not a single thing shy of amazing. If you have a sweet tooth, welcome to heaven. If you dont have a sweet tooth, be prepared to develop a sweet tooth and then go to heaven. Seriously, the best sweets ever. I went to try their summer special mango sweets. Starting off with their 'Aam Doi', that was truly one-of-a-kind. For one, they are absolutely gorgeous to taste at with awesome flavours. But I have to say, I was stumped by the 'Mango Chanar Brulee'. Mango Chanar Brulee was baked mango pudding in a glass having real mango at bottom and a small rasgulla in middle. Real mango at the bottom of the glass was an awesome surprise, very very innovative. The detail and effort that goes into each sweets was impressive. Their seasonal menus were always changing so its always wonderful to try something new. Their Mango Gelato Sandesh was so fruity, just unimaginable creation. They are dense and rich. They have something for everyone. Some of my favourites include the Aam Doi, Mango Chanar Brulee and the Mango Gelato Sandesh. They just elevate their already amazing sweets to a whole other level. Every sweet I have, I never want it to end.
