Does this fine-dining restaurant need any introduction? Certainly not. Not to the city of Kolkata at least, and many would say, given the fact that Oh! Calcutta has outlets in several cities of the country, one can skip the intro. Thanks to the dedication and level of commitment (to use only the best ingredients and authentic recipes and preparation) of the Oh! Calcutta management, non-Bengalis too have started to appreciate the cuisine on offer here. A fabulous authentic Bengali and Anglo-Indian fare - identified as Calcutta cuisine - stars in the menu. Subtle influence of Calcutta's settlements from history like the Portuguese, Armenian and Jewish influences flavour the food. Their specialities like the Kakra Chingri Bhapa, Mataal Chingri, Gandhoraj Beckti, Rasun Bhapa Machh are really novel to the palate. This is balanced by European classics like Barbecued Apple Prawns, Cottage Cheese Steak in Honey, Duck a L Orange. At the EM Bypass, their private dining room, butler service and elite menu is for the true connoisseur. Fresh ingredients, authenticity, elegant decor, private dining room and courteous service make a meal here a grand experience.

ambiance of the restaurant is really lovely and striking....comfortable seats and striking interiors...all look really wonderful....also, the service of the place is fast and frndly.....food is awesome....they serve everything nicely and presentation of food is great too....

Absolutely yummy may find it a little old inside but the food is awesome....Kakra Chingri Bhapa, Mataal Chingri, Gandhoraj Beckti and Rasun Bhapa Machh are worth trying....do visit little early in the evening else might need to wait....
