This is a unique experience in the middle of the city at Mani Square! The tribal man with spear and gear piques your interest as you enter Machaan � but then you enter a jungle instead of a restaurant. Yes, no joke, the place is dark, with jungle foliage covering more than 50% of the available space. And who do you have for company at your dinner? An elephant, a swinging monkey, crocodiles, a calling giraffe, plastic parrots and good God, an anaconda! As you order the food, you feel uncomfortable...hope the food is not half cooked jungle fare. But no, the menu proves to be north Indian featuring Junglee Masale ki Murgh, Dal Machaan, Beckti Masala, Hunter Chicken, Dahi Gosht, and Raan. The Special Junglee Masala is spicy and richer than you expect. However, a great outing for children, but why not take them to the zoo instead!

Truly an unique experience in this "jungle" theme based restaurant.
As you get in, your interest level rises since the ambience is different.
The place is dark but tables are well lit. Jungle decor covers quite some space.
We had Dhuan Dum Tikki, Chappali Kebab and Junglee Masale ki Murgh as starters. All were really good specially the Tikki and Junglee.
Main Course was with Hunter Chicken, Peas Pulao and Kadai Jhinga (a 4 piece medium size tender prawn dish). Peas Pulo was awesome. Kadai Jhinga is a bit costly but ok if you can afford it.
You may also try out Dal Machaan or Beckti Masala which are said to be excellent.
We did not like the Campfire Gosht Shorba - the taste was not really ok, so you might like to go for any of the mocktails instead of the soups.
For our sweet tooth, we took Jungle Mein Mangal Portion and Malpua with Rabri, the second being the much better one.
We spent Rs 2200 for 4 Heads and found it to be value for money.
If you like North Indian, a little spicy and richer than normal dishes - Be there and give it a try !
