Think of Shiraz and biryani comes to the mind. That is not to say that their chaanps, kebabs and Tandoori Chicken are not... they are... as famous as the Kolkata Biryani that they make. In the last three decades, Shiraz has made the humble potato a reality in the Mughal treat of rice and tender meat that is fit for royalty. Recently, they shifted to a place across the road and smartened up the interiors, but the familiarity is still there: the same old smiling waiters and the menu. The menu still features korma, Irani Chaanp, Mutton Rezala, Fish Pudina and Fish Afghani. However, some feel that the food lacks the old zing... and people wonder, was it the place or the food that created the magic? But their food is still very good and they have other counters - take-away orders - over town, all fed by the same kitchen.

Every time I visit Shiraz, I look for kebabs and tandoori chicken, in spite of waiter offering me to taste biryani. But when I last time went there I ordered mutton biryani. I m,ust say it was delectable and lip smacking. I loved it more than anything else in the world. Besides kebabs and biryani, the place serves amazing Fish Pudina and Fish Afghani as well. Shiraz is an amazing place and I must say staffs are very well-mannered and polite. Décor is quite good too. it is all simple, nice and elegant around.
