Head to Sholoana Bangali for superlative fish delicacies — both the preparations and the quality of the fish are excellent. There are three restaurants of Sholoana Bangali and a meal here will get you hooked. Their Daab Chingri, Stuffed Beckti, Chingri Malai Curry and Barishali Ilish will leave you very contented. The menu also lists typical Bengali dishes like Mochar Ghanto, Jhinge Aloo Posto, as well as the exotic Daaber Payesh. In all likelihood, you will have a pleasant time here, and the waiters too make sure that you enjoy your meal in peace. They also home deliver.

Decent bengali food @ decent price is all i can say about this place... People who are fond of Bengali food can drop in here anytime for lunch or dinner... the only drawback is the waiting time to get a seat in there; the average waiting time during weekend is 15 mins. The sitting area is comparatively small but spacious enough for movement... But if you can compromise on ambiance and a bit on service, this place is for you..

Well it stands with dignity on the road of PRINCE ANWAR SHAH.It is a hitchhiker but with a difference. It does not ask you for a lift, but you might feel like taking a lift instead.Such happened with me.I curiously went inside pulling a very small door. The brown ambience and low ceiling did convince me of the fact, that they are going to cater to my taste economical and quality meals. The waiters were cordial enough.I started off with TOPSHE FRY(garnished with ALU BHAJA ON TOP).I will not brag but I really can cook well. So,after eating TOPSHE FRY,I must conclude they were really tasty.CHANAR DALNA was good. But BHAPA BHETKI deserves a round of applause(at least for me).The mustard gravy had an authentic mustard aroma and flavour(an extra punch to the tongue was what I felt). So I recommend this dish above all.Amongst others,PARSHE JHAL was a tangy one,PABDA SORSHE was nothing unusual,BHAPA CHINGRI was similar to BHAPA BHETKI in terms of cooking style but the latter outweighed with its elevated mustard punch.MUTTON KASA was a simple one,was very much cinnamon concentrated.I did not like it much.It might get ordered a lot because of a bengali biasness towards khasir mangsho, but people would certainly get disheartened with its simple taste.Hence, I conclude that mangsho and chutney was not upto the mark.I definitely need to visit this place for one more time to write a more detailed review. However, amidst the crowd of bengali eateries, this one even with its share of follies stole a certain fraction of my heart.I WOULD FOR SURE CONSIDER A SECOND GO...................
