With its colonial looks, a touch of gold, British Raj-inspired khaki uniforms and custom-designed crockery and cutlery, Marble Room is a landmark restaurant in Kenilworth Hotel. Overlooking the lush green lawns, a meal at Marble Room makes for a pleasant experience. It offers traditional Indian fare, its menu highlighting cuisines like Awadhi, Rajasthani and Punjabi delicacies. You can start your meal with starters like Karare Chana, Chutkule Paneer, Tandoori Jhinga and Murgh Tangdi, and then move to main course dishes like Awadhi Kofta, Aloo Lucknavi, Chana Pindi, Mixed Subz, Rahra Gosht and Lal Maas, which can be enjoyed with roti, naan or rice. Exquisite desserts are on offer like the Kesar Kulfi, Baked Rasmalai, Gajar Halwa and Phirni. They have a separate Bengali menu too. Since Marble Room has a bar counter, you can order your favourite drink to accompany your meal.

I went Marble Room for a meeting with a client. My client was exactly like me, a big foodie. So, our meeting was started with starters. We had Chutkule Paneer and Murgh Tangdi. It was quite nice and drinks were relaxing. For the lunch, we had Chana Pindi, Rahra Gosht and Lal Maas along with naan. Food was good but something was missing. The end of the meeting was with the dessert. We had Baked Rasmalai and Gajar Halwa. They were nice too but for delicious, they need some improvement. Service was slow and ambiance was average. Restaurant needs to improve a lot.
