Flurys on Park Street is a legend of sorts. Started by a Swiss gentleman over eighty years ago, Flurys has changed ownership and decor but retained its charm in dark chocolate-raspberry-and-vanilla theme colours. The chandeliers, fish tank and the chequered marble floors add to the history. As for the food, the menu is unique. Try the old-fashioned English Tea Sandwiches or a typical Flurys Breakfast with Ham and Cheese-stuffed Omelette and Beans on Toast. And don't miss their Chicken Patties! The Chef's Special menu has highlights like soups, Caesar Salad, sandwich meals, grills and pastas of your choice. Ask for the dessert tray: it's an assortment of Rum Balls, Fresh Butter Pastries and the Flurys famous Dry Pastries. And if you are a visitor to the city, do pick up some cookies, nougatine chocolates, Almond Horse Shoe, Baba Cakes and Chocolate Boats for folks back home. Flurys has several take-away outlets in the city, but for a 20s-era European, tea-room experience, dine at Flurys.

Flurys has a nice, cheerful and welcoming décor. I love being there often. They serve deliciously made food. They have English Tea Sandwiches, Chicken Patties, Caesar Salad, Rum Balls, nougatine chocolates and Baba Cakes. All these are just too good. They are delicious and delectable. They are prepared nicely and served greatly too. Service is quite slow. The presentation is good but serving speed is a turn-off. Rest it offers great food.
