If you are in the New Alipore area, and hunger pangs hit you, head to Super Snack Bar for a light South Indian snack (or a meal, if you want). Their Masala Dosa is very popular. Like any other pure-vegetarian, South Indian joint, they also offer a variety of idlis, uttapams, dosas, Rasam and Sambhar-Vada. For many years, this was the only hang-out option in New Alipore, before fast food made its presence felt. It is still a pleasant place to dine in.
