Red carpet, intimate tables, hanging lampshades and red sofas. Time stands still at Mocambo. It's as if this restaurant has caught and trapped the 60s. Even the shabbiness seems intentional, since a part of us want to live in the past, especially when it comes to a descriptive European menu. They also have a North Indian, Mughlai section in the menu. Cut to the classic cocktails — a Bloody Mary along with Chanachur in a silver-plated bowl. The Chateaubriand with Roast Potatoes on the side, the Devilled Crab, Fish à la Diana, the Mixed Grill, à la Kiev, Chicken Cordon Bleu and Grilled Hilsa served on banana leaf — impressive line-up. Don't miss the Cream Caramel, Truffle Pudding or Crêpes with Lemon or Orange Sauce. And the quick service and reasonable pricing earn brownie points for Mocambo.

Mocambo is one of the best destinations in Calcutta. Have been visiting since the past 30 years. From School days - St. Xaviers Collegiate School, have been enjoying the Food as well as ambience. A Class Apart

This serves nice north-indian food and great Mughlai also. I had the Devilled Crab and Chicken Cordon Bleu and Grilled Hilsa served on banana leaf. They also offer great cocktails. Nice service and good staff

The interesting name of this restaurant made me visit it. The place has very different interiors and
furniture. The menu includes various dishes. From Mughali to North Indian to European they have it all. I
liked the quantity and the quality served. Will pay a visit again.
