The Mecca of live music, this place needs no introduction. Someplace Else, with its wood-and-brick decor, stain-glass, leather couches, styled after British pubs attracts all. Be it the head-banging college kid, the single woman, the corporate honcho, the hoi polloi, Someplace Else in the Park gives everyone their space. Hip Pocket, Krosswindz, Saturday Night Blues, Indian Ocean, Parikrama... you name them and they play here. To keep the spirits high, drinks and food do their bit in pulling in the crowd: Frozen Margarita, Mojito, Woodstock, Bond Martini, Kamakaze Shot, Velvet Hammer, Draught Beer... and more. Along with your tipple, nibble on the likes of Crispy Chilli Baby Corn, Mushroom and Serrano Chilli Spring Rolls, Pepper Salt Mushroom, Vegetable Tandoori Kebab Platter and Pepper Salt Paneer. Pork Sausages, Potato Skins & Sour Cream and Spicy Potato Wedges too.

This is a regular party lovers place, as the live wire ambience is too good to be missed. The decoration of this place is done in a way to give it a British pub feeling and among youngsters it works perfectly. I have attended a number of live performances here.
The food is basically served to give great company to the cocktails and other drinks on the menu. Most of the time I order Drought beer and Pork Sausages that tastes great together.

What I personally feel about Someplace Else is that it is one of the most respected pubs of Kolkata. This place brags about its live music and elegant décor. Try Frozen Margarita, Mojito, Woodstock or Bond Martini, you will feel out of the place. Crispy Chilli Baby Corn, Mushroom and Serrano Chilli Spring Rolls are just too good to have.
