Aaheli at Peerless Inn hotel and its branch at Axis Mall in Rajarhat have carved a niche for themselves and are known for their authentic Bengali preparations. You can either opt for the thalis or go a la carte. The Mahabhog Thali and the Rajbhog Thali are elaborate fixed menu meals which include delicacies like Shukto, Bati Chingri, Doi Ilish, Chingrir Malai Curry, Murgir Jhol, Kosha Mangsho, Aamer Chutney, Chhanar Payesh and Malpua. On the a la carte are the not-so-common yesteryear dishes like the Gachpathar Malai Curry, Kumro Patay Mora Chingri Paturi, Dhumragondhi Ilish, Rui Machher Patishapta. Their festive season promotions are huge crowd-pullers, not only for the delicious fare but also for the traditional delicacies on offer. Reservations are advised, especially for the weekends. Expect to pay five-star prices.

I think the dining experience here is wholesome Bengali from food to ambience to staff uniform nothing is less than authentic. Food is all about Bengali cuisine and their best of dishes special the seafood dishes are totally mouth watering and worth coming for again and again. I love their Maha meal that includes my favorite Shukto and Posto dishes. Even the Doi Ilish is a must have dish on the thali. Aaheli is must for all food lovers.

Just a drive away from the main city Aaheli is a well set restaurant with very nice, ethnic ambience and staff service. The all Bengali cuisine menu has basically everything that makes this cuisine stand out. I usually eat Topse Machh Bhaja, Doi Ilish and Kosha Mangsho. The food is delightful and in this ambience it is always relaxing to dine.

Not that good. They should buy good quality food material to prepare quality Bengali food.
