If dhaba food is what you enjoy or would like to go for as a change, head to Sector-I in Salt Lake and find your way to Azad Hind Dhaba... a speck of heaven in no-man's land. True Punjabi-style Sarson da Saag and Makki di Roti in season is the signature dish here. The star dishes that non-vegetarians can happily tuck into are Mutton Liver Curry, Mutton Do Pyaza and Tandoori Chicken. The simple Chana Masala (with a hint of fresh cream) and Dal Tadka make a great vegetarian meal. The stuffed, Lachcha Parathas and Kulchas too are good. Kulfi and the Masala Chai are added bonuses. This place works more as a home-delivery dhaba than a sit-around. For a quick snack, sit outside on the charpoy and enjoy the fresh Double Chicken Roll, which surprisingly and thankfully has less oil and sauces. Food here is good and satisfying, ditto for the service too.

I love this city that never disappoints me with its food variety and this time it was Azad Hind Dhaba and its Punjabi food that made me feel amazing with taste and big portion. I had Mutton do Pyaza and roti and ended my meal with a cup of Masala Tea. Fabulous and worth coming back again and again.

After shifting from Delhi, I was eagerly looking for a Dhaba and then I found Azad Hind Dhaba. It is like a normal dhaba with not very good interiors but the food is worth praising. Tandoori Chicken, Chana Masala, Dal Tadka and some Lachcha Parathas were the menu of the day. The food was great. I later also took Kulfi, which also reminded me of Delhi. Azad Hind Dhaba has become my weekend food hub.
