Royal fine dining gets redefined in this Times Food Guide award-winning restaurant as it reopens after a total revamp. Glimmering mirrors, gold and Persian floral work, and intricate jharokas of this plush restaurant are the perfect backdrop for the ”experience” that follows. Also recently introduced is the ”Nizam's Table” (book in advance) with it's ”Degustation Menu”, gold cutlery and custom-designed crockery, etc. Khwan service - traditional service with domes, in courses -remains an absolute must. There is magic in the food, drawing upon whiffs of rose water, hand-pounded masalas, saffron, superb cuts of mutton and centuries-old recipes. The result? You can't beat the Dum Pukht-style of cooking. Dum means to ”breathe in” and Pukht to ”cook”, and this is done by trapping aromas and flavours by sealing the cooking utensils and ensuring slow cooking over a low flame. And this restaurant (even though located near the international airport) has reigned supreme. Must try Mohammed Shariff's succulent and sensationally spiced Raan-e-Dum Pukht, the brilliant biryani and Murgh Khushk Pardah, and melt-in-the-mouth Kakori Kebab with Sheermal. Koh-e-Awadh, Mahi Kalia, Guchhi Pulao and Kulfi Lab-e-Mashooq, and Gulab Kheer are strongly recommended too. Do remember that it is open only for dinner. Attention is paid to every single detail, from the traditional service of stylish katoris kept in kidney-shaped half-plates (to ensure that the flavours and tastes do not mix) to the Biryani served as a course apart.

The Food was really awesome, the decor and ambiance wonderful.
The theme of the restaurant works its magic along with the superb food. It is a bit expensive but i will take it with a pinch of salt. In all a good experience i will recommend the baigan chilly was really amazing.
