Personlize your order by placing it with the chef himself, Chef Thong. It’s just the place working professionals in Andheri East will seek for an evening drink. Red Zen is a cool and contemporary oasis of calm on the first floor of the Courtyard By Marriott. Just past the lobby, it is infused with red light. White-couched, black-wooded section dedicated to a cosy, low-seating lounge that comfortably seats up to a dozen. Cocktails of the week are scrawled on the blackboard here. Rosemary, Vanilla, Pineapple and Mint, Appletini, Ginger and Mint Martinis, are served thoughtfully in a bowl of ice and are very popular with the regulars. Eight varieties of beer (Peroni and the Japanese Asahi), lots of spirit options and interesting shooters. Sadly, a very small selection of wines (ten labels) and single malts (about six) on the drinks menu. Nuts, chips and Prawn Crackers and Kim Chicken are served complimentary with drinks. Tea lovers and teetotallers will love the Thai Iced Teas (on request), which come in flavours like Ginger, Basil, Lemon Grass, Mango and Orange. These flavours are derived from Thai fruits and herbs and happen to be the speciality here. A definite try would be the fluffy and dense Pork Bun, Kung Pao Chicken, Chicken marinated in Thai spices and Veg Spring Rolls to compliment your drink.
