The Calcutta Club is a Bengali Restaurant, envisaged by Tapan Roy, proprietor of The Calcutta Club and his wife Manisha Roy. It offers extensive variety of authentic Bengali cuisine popular among Bengalis and non-Bengalis from all parts of Mumbai. Located in the heart of Andheri, the bustling suburb of India's financial capital, Mumbai, the menu is designed with consideration to the season and the festivities all throughout the year.On entering Calcutta Club, you will immediately encounter the authentic Bengali atmosphere with the contemporary Bengali d'cor and traditional music playing in the background accompanied by warm welcome which makes you feel at home.Their specialities range from "Daab Chingri"- prawns cooked with tender coconut cream, butter, green chillies that simply melt in the mouth, "Kakra Jhaal" - a spicy crab curry made with exotic spices, "Pur Bhar Pomfret Fry" - pomfret fried with green masala stuffing, Mutton and Chicken "Dum Biryani" - an 'Awadhi' style, most popular in Kolkata, which goes hand in hand with Chicken or Mutton "Chaap".rnThe desserts that you cannot resist are Mishti Doi, Kheer Patishapta, Gokul Peethe and Rossogollar Payesh. Last but not the least is the mention of accompaniment like Aam Pora Sharbat, Chatni, Aloor Jhoori Bhaja, Maachh Bhaaja and many more. Calcutta Club sets apart from any other exclusive restaurants because of its homely atmosphere and its ambience, its coziness, prompt service and the authentic taste which is better to be experienced personally than be told in words. Even you will not stop at one visit' it is an experience you cannot resist.

For popular Bengali cuisine I come to The Calcutta Club, a place always lively and always fun to come with family. Kakra Jhaal, Pur Bhar Pomfret Fry is usually the best in here and so is their fried fish. Also the Awadhi styled biryani are must try at The Calcutta Club.
