It’s all about comfort here… Andheri’s new arrival is easy on the eye, relatively easy on the ear and it’s kind to the nether part of the body which is often referred to in fuzzy terms. For no matter which soft padded, spacious booth you sit in, you feel cushioned and coddled. And finally, Grillopolis is also easy on most palates…. It comforts clientele from Andheri to Borivali (Bandra too). An imposing carved Turkish door opens onto a largish Middle Eastern kind of room (sandstone floor, sprung arches, brass- and stained-glass chandeliers, Turkish motif-tiled tables et al). Don’t go looking for big, chunky robust grills (remember, no beef or pork here either). For Rs. 500 per head, you get a lavish, decent lunch buffet with four starter grills, two soups and mains (six non-veg and seven veg dishes) and six desserts. Well-spiced Grilled Chicken Espadatas and Paneer Tikkas kick off the buffet lunch of average dal-and-biryani kind of fare (Crab Masala, Shahi Paneer thrown in) with some grills. Amongst the à la carte grills, do ask for the Grilled Chicken in Cranberry Sauce and the Roast Leg of Lamb in Cinnamon Sauce and also the Paneer Steak. Avoid the Grilled Rawas (submerged in a garlicky potato mash) and the Barbecue Chicken (drowned in a bright red barbecue sauce). Must try? Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi’s innovative Baked Kalakand layered with crisp bundi (”Baked Indian Delight”) and squishy Gulab Jamuns stand out amid the humdrum desserts.

Good ambiance and decent staff but it is too pricey...fatoosh at rS 200 + TAXES....it is too much to play for a plate of salad, taste was pretty plain and ordinary, for 2 person we had to spend approx 1500.

Amazing ambiance, great music and good for pockets, Grillopolis is one of its kind places to go. I went there few days back, to have lunch buffet. The food was great. I had Grilled Chicken Espadatas and Paneer Tikkas. These were really awesome to have, howerever, I didn’t like the dal, they serve. I also had Grilled Chicken in Cranberry Sauce, which was again full of taste. Looking forward to visit Grillopolis, soon again.
