It's noisy and they don't take reservations (long wait on weekends), but for the consistently good and affordably priced fare (succulent meat prepared with minimum grease), it's worth visiting one of their four branches (two in Andheri, one in Mulund and another in Ghatkopar). From the memorable spark of nimbu in the Nimbu Chicken to the firm yet tender Paneer or Surmai ke Tikkey as well as Kandhari Murgh or Malai Kebabs, robust Punjabi flavours leap from the plate to give me a jhappi. Typically Rajkare Rajma, Pakodewali Kadhi and Sarson da Saag with Makki ki Rotis. Extensive selection of tawa items and kebabs here. Do try the Peshawari Mutton and Saag Murgh and wind-up with the outstanding (seasonal) Gajar ka Halwa (Jalebi with Rabadi available year round, but their jalebis are not as crisp as I'd like). Trip out on Ganna Singh, Khadak Singh (cocktails) and super masalewala Nimbu Paani. Enjoy the colourful, mismatched crockery, the menu on the blackboard, the dholaks and charpais in this large, comfy, buzzing, air-conditioned eatery and bar. P.S. Happy Hours from 7pm-8pm on weekdays. Buy one-get one on domestic selections only.rn

Urban Tadka is my place for giving treats to my friends as the food is great and it does not even cost much. I am particularly very fond of their Nimbu Chicken and Saag Murgh that is finger licking awesome and leaves me craving for some more. Finding a place in Urban Tadka is hard as the place is always crowded but definitely nobody minds the wait.

I am a hardcore Punjabi by nature and by food choice too since my home town is Delhi. The taste at Urban Tadka is awesome but yes, if they try to improve somethings which count a lot, they would be the masters in this field and people would love to stand in a queue to grab some food over here. Service is bit too tad, as they take a lot of time and that is too bad. Still, if you wish to revive the classic punjabi flavour and you are quite patient, then head away to this destination now.
Their USP is that they provide unlimited white butter free of cost along with the food.
