Caution: this review is about a well-loved city landmark and you will either love it or hate it, but you simply cannot ignore it. Drive down the grotty bylane behind the Taj, ignore the mangy dogs and order from the rubber-chappalled waiter. An awesome aroma of grilling meat from the open-air charcoal grills, and Roomali Roti from the tandoor fills the air. M. Haq's father started this kebab counter 53 years ago, and his long beard earned him the nickname of ”Bade Miya”. Today, it is a night-eater's paradise, with electronic signs welcoming you. Go if you have a cast-iron stomach and enjoy eating on the street. It's succulent stuff, somewhat greasy, but reasonably priced. Car service (with napkins and newspapers) is provided. The menu contains Bheja, Baida Roti, Reshmi Parathas, Tandoori Rotis, tikkas, naan and veg dishes.

Loved the mutton seek kebab and boti kebabs very well marinated and well done over a barbecue as was chicken reshami kebab.
In the main course we ordered mutton bhuna, chicken keema with roomali roti. we also tried mutton baida- its mutton stuffed in an omelette- this dish i would say is acquired taste.
Their was even a vegetarian (..and i hear he's a regular at this joint, perhaps all the aroma of kebabs seep in through the paneer's..) with us who ordered and liked veg seek kebab and paneer masala...
The service was fantastic with ever helpful waiter directing your car to squeeze in the car lane and very efficiently putting a Coke bottle as a stand between your car bonnet- making it a sturdy makeshift table- they say its bademiyan style;-)

When u enter the lane of tulloch road at night, u can see only one happening place. u guessed it rte, Bade Miya! Cars r parked on both sides of the road & ppl hvng food on bumpers or bonnet. a rare but nice sight to watch! Ppl frm all spheres of lyf, d ri
