French hotel chain, Sofitel's confectionery is a treasure trove of hand-crafted chocolates, charcuterie and the finest cheeses from both the old and new worlds. Stacks of bread of different varieties (multigrain, sour dough, rye, 4-seed, baguette and brioche) alongside attractively displayed salads, sandwiches, bagels, home-style saugages (pork, beef, chicken) and cold cuts recreate the essence of a French bistro. In keeping with the "Bistro Parisien" theme, a big square 18-seat community table graces the place, with wine and gorgonzola, cheddar, Chevrne and Edam cheeses completing the experience. Beer is also available, as are Frappes, milkshakes, specialty teas like Grean Tea, Makai Berry First Flush, Monkey Picked Oolong, Japanese Sencha, and herbal and detox teas (Chinese, white, Japenese, tulsi and herbal). Croissants, doughnuts, Danish pastries and puffs are freshly prepared for breakfast, while 7pm to 9pm are "Take Away Happy Hours" with a 50 per cent off on all breads, sandwiches and pastries (not cakes) that you take away! A high-tea set menu (Rs.300) is an option from 3pm to 5pm which includes Masala Tea or Hot Chocolate with a selection of cookies and puffs. Relish any of these while watching chocolates being created before your eyes, behind a glass walled chocolatier. Unique to the place is the Lunch Box, targeting students of the International schools located in BKC, at Rs.950 and Rs.1,150+ taxes, for a salad, sandwich, fruits, desserts and a soft drink or fresh juice.
