Get a taste of Italy in Botticino, Trident's (Bandra-Kurla) first-floored, spacious, high-ceilinged, airy Italian restaurant which has been designed to ""float"" over the coffee shop below. Start with a tutored wine tasting in the enoteca (complimentary to all guests at dinner) and end in the unique and gleaming Grappa Lounge (the only one in Mumbai). Here, amid contemporary and refined simplicity (extensive use of beige Botticino Italian marble and pastel furnishings) top quality ingredients shine through. Under-lit glass flooring in some sections (Volare table) of the restaurant accentuates this sense of floating in space. But it's the food which further accentuates this heady feeling. The menu at Botticino includes specialities from Piedmont, Lombardy, Emilia Romagna, Tuscany and Lazio - places best known for porcini mushrooms, risotto, cured ham, pancetta, polenta and a variety of seafood. Fresh tomatoes and plump buffalo mozzarella make for a great Caprese Salad. Impeccably cooked pasta, be it the Spaghetti Aglio Olio, Peperoncino or the Pacheri with Eggplant and Tomato Sauce. Calamarata Pasta (with briny flavours of Clams and Prawns) is coated with a light smooth sauce. And the Risotto (Vialone Nano Rice) with Bacon is excellent. Plenty for veggies... Zucchini Timbale with Asparagus Sauce delights. Plenty of new dishes have been added on: Porcini Mushroom Risotto Seafood Calamarata, Balsamic Braised Quails and Tuscan Goose Liver too. However, the mains (Seafood Platter and the Grilled Garoupa with Porcini Mushrooms) are lacklustre. Ditto for the Chocolate Pudding. The light as air Creme Brulee with the crunchy Amaretto is outstanding. It has us floating even higher.
P.S. Slim of wallet? Refined of palate? Go for the three-course lunch Rs. 1,295 onwards. Ask for their VFM Set Menu prices.

Calamarata Pasta, Balsamic Braised Quails and delicious Chocolate Pudding to end the craving are what keep me loyal to this restaurant. In fact, ambience of this restaurant is also a motivation for visiting this wonderful restaurant and for couples this place can be their private paradise.

I rate a restaurant perfect only when I get everything on place. Amazing ambiance, delicious food and accurate service, Botticino is just a perfect place. It is one place where you can have taste of Italy with the feeling of sitting in an Italian ambiance. You can have variety of sea food here. I personally like to visit there for porcini mushrooms, risotto, cured ham and an amazing Chocolate Pudding. Botticino serves an amazingly delicious food.
