When it started more than a quarter of a century back in Los Angeles, it did what was then considered sacriligeous — it didn’t mind replacing Tomato Ketchup with Barbecue Sauce on the pizza. And since then it has gone around the world with its unique toppings and has succeeded in winning new clientele everywhere. It’s no different in Mumbai where it has three outlets. CPK first opened in the business district of BKC, followed by Phoenix Mills and then Malad. However, unlike the colourful American CPKs, the first one is clad in brown, wooden tones but the florid, extravagant menus (separate ones for kids and desserts too) more than make up for it. The portion sizes remain gloriously large and the pizza menu is gloriously varied, from Spicy Chipotle, Jamaican Jerk, Thin-crust Pesto to Pear and Gorgonzola. Do try the all-time-favourite Barbecue Chicken Pizza (`375). I loved its bold flavours with whispers of sweetness and a firm, crisp base. Another must try is the Tequila Fettuccine, cooked and sauced to perfection. Crisp and yummy Sonora Egg Roll too is very good. Veggie options remain one of the strong points of CPK as are its giant portions of desserts. Go for the moist three-layered Red Velvet Cake (frosted with vanilla bean cream cheese) and the signature Frozen Tiramisu (yummy with cream cheese and custard and laced with espresso and rum). The downside? The experiment to adapt (Thai Pizza) ends up as a weird marriage. And the lacklustre salads disappoint; my long-time favourite Chinese Chicken Salad not only lacks zing and is underdressed minus the crunchies too. Thick Tortilla Rolls were not great either. In fact, you can avoid the rolls altogether. Some of their new additions include Vegetarian Combo Platter, Non-vegetarian Combo Platter, Black Bean Quesadilla, Serrano, Lettuce Wrap, Waldrof Salad, Baja Supreme Pizza and Chicken Carnitas. Taste of California and Mexico.

PS: You have to pay `20 extra if you want your pizza with a thin crust. They provide home delivery within a distance of 5-10km.

This is the best place for continental food. Great ambience, great decor and great furnishings, this place is very strategically located. A great place for family dining, rrelaxing and unwinding!! Truly a great place . This place is very very near to the Lokhandalwala and Bandra (West). No better place to party and merry makings !! Must visit place.
