Since Sayed Ali Akbarul Huseini first introduced Lucky's Biryani in 1938 to Bandra at what was then a crossroad corner outpost, both the restaurant and the biryani (the unmistakable flavour and authentic Irani recipe has many fans in Bandra) have come a long way. Basic decor at the very functional, no-frills eatery (avoid the boxed-in airconditioned room in favour of the small backyard outdoor area) that serves well-spiced Keema for breakfast. Regulars rave about the Brain Tawa and Brain Tawa Masala, but I'd look past them and hone in on old and new favourites: Chicken Tikka Biryani, Paneer Tikka Biryani, Chicken Shahi Pulao, and kebabs of all kinds (Pahadi, Hazari, Kalimirch and more). What I enjoy most is the throb of the city that hums in this simple restaurant. Sit by the door, enjoy old flavours and watch the city go by.

had been to lucky on a weekday, the place was moderately crowded. on arrival i ordered for a bottle of water which wasn't delivered on time(after 3 requests he did). later i ordered the mutton biryani(for which luck is well-known), it seemed to be leftover stuff what they had served us. we argued with the management but they refused to remake it or to erase from the bill, finally we left the place in total disappointment.
we had a very bad experience and i won't recommend this place to anyone.
