For a relaxing evening or a business meeting, head for the spacious, carpeted and open-through-the-day lounge in the Atrium of the high-ceilinged, luxuriously opulent and gleaming lobby of Taj Land's End. Unwind to the soothing tunes of Savio Rodrigues playing jazz on the piano (Mon–Sat: 5pm to 9pm). Sip on your wine or cocktail, relish amazingly flavoured finger foods and snacks and experiment with a wide range of flavours and textures that are on the menu. An extensive selection in single estate coffees (24) and teas (15) are available, or smooth cognacs and the newly added draught beer (Hoegaardn), if you are so inclined! Exclusive (and expensive!), the Copi Luwak coffee is a new addition, as are the Fresh Fruit and Tisane Iced Teas, and Iced Espressos too. The Belgian Callebout Hot Chocolate (in orange, chilli and cheese flavours) adds a whole new section of drinks to their menu. Pop in between 4pm and 7pm for the Charlie High Tea (Rs.800) or Champagne High Tea (Rs.1,200). Munch on cocktail-sized sandwiches, cookies, scones, hot snacks (Indian and Continental) or enjoy cheesecakes, canapés and fruit cakes. An innovative and extensive menu to please the pickiest of palates, it offers Ceaser Salad (fusion one) with tandoori chicken nestling in a bed of green; a trio of mini burgers (chicken, vegetarian and tenderloin); an open-faced Smoked Salmon and Sun-dried Tomato with Feta Sandwich. Tapas includes spiced Lamb Skewers, beer battered shrimps and the Great Indian Chaat Platter. Even a Manchego Cheese Quesadilla! A great place to unwind and watch the world go by.
