A mixed crowd rocks in this super-colossal European renaissance-meets-Indian royalty nightclub. A swift check on a Friday night (just as the book goes to press) and I find it throbbing and packed. Finally, and after many a open-close-open-close-open, Shilpa Shetty? No Shilpa Shetty? Royalty, the palatial 10,000sq ft of space, is open and rocking. We wove our way through the long lines (entry to be paid here) and the cluster of bouncers dressed in black. Push pass the padded doors, down the dimly lit blue-and-red-light-bathed staircase (God help you if you are in high heels or tipsy) and walk down these steps to be greeted by an intricately decorated lion and get ready for a plethora of choices. The sheer size and scale of the main clubbing area with its extensive use of gold leafing and oxygen-pumping machines with the elevated levels of the members’ VIP area (with its own bar and service) and a VVIP area (decorated by Designer Rocky S) overlooking the club too, set the mood right. DJ music, theme nights and International acts pump up the energy and tempo here. Entry charges: check entry and cover charges as they vary... `1,000 for girls, `2,000 for a couple and `2,000 for stags.

Too good to resist bars and restaurants competing for the attention of eight million people, eating and drinking in London can be as much a feast for the eyes as for the stomach. Pop in for a drink at Sketch and take a tinkle in the pod-shaped toilets - complete with the sound of birdsong, very nice and keep it up !!!!!!!!!!

Dishes: Bull Frog

Tips: Has outdoor seating,Offers free Wi-Fi,Accepts reservations,Has happy hours

With bars and restaurants competing for the attention of eight million people, eating and drinking in London can be as much a feast for the eyes as for the stomach. Pop in for a drink at Sketch and take a tinkle in the pod-shaped toilets - complete with the sound of birdsong, or even a round of applause. A surreal 1930s vibe can be found at Bob Bob Ricard in Soho, while top chef Marcus Wareings restaurant, The Gilbert Scott, inside the magnificently gothic St Pancras Renassiance Hotel, throws you straight back to the Victorian era.

Tips: Accepts reservations

We are so glad she did! We decided to make a reservation our last night and we were not disappointed. We are not seafood eaters so we all had steaks! What a great choice! We are big steak connoisseurs and always like to find a good steak place to eat wherever we travel. We would consider Mike Diannas one of the nicer places weve been
