"Yipeee" is not exactly the most erudite way to express how I feel about discovering this tiny (seriously tiny) Mahim eatery. But it certainly is the most accurate expression that I can find. It's not just about the VFM pricing (average price per dish Rs150) and generous portions but also about the superlative biryani, the softest kebabs on earth too. I recommend this tiny, open through- the-day eatery nudged into the dusty, trafficchoked arterial road of Mahim, where parking is tough and no alcohol is served. I recommend even more the takeaway here. So what if the eatery is so tiny that it seats only 12 (or is it 14)? Ishtiyaque Qureishi (the son of the legendary Mohammed Imtiaz Qureishi of Dum Pukht and Bukhara fame) cooks up the best biryanis in town… fragrant, non-greasy,yet power-packed with flavour(Dum Gosht Noormahal Biryani,Rs150). And the plump with masala Dum Murgh Masala Biryani (Rs170). Both consistently good. The pan-fried, soft Galouti is super too. Mutton-lovers,go for the Nihari Gosht. Of course, he has plenty of other above-average chicken and mutton dishes, like Korma,Achaari, etc, but stick to the biryanis, Kakori,Nalli Nihari and the plump, sweet Shahi Tukda and you'll come back again and again. And if you don't fancy coming here, then order takeaway biryani and Nihari Gosht by the kilo. P.S. Veggie surprises here! Dum Subz Masala Biryani (Rs130) is tasty and flavoursome. A greater surprise is the veg Subz Galouti Kebab, which is moist and dense with flavour. I'm not a fan of the Makhni Paneer.

Small in size, low in cost and yet superb in kebabs, tikkas and delicious in Biryani. I am madly in love with their dum biryanis and Nihari Gosht that tastes so perfect. The list of food on the menu is long and very impressive and from time to time I love visiting this eatery.

In this area Bandra Kakori House is a small restaurant but its food is something that one can not overlook. The very modestly rated menu has good Dum Murgh Masala Biryani and Nihari Gosht. The Achari dishes are also very much delightful and blessing for the taste buds. I love their food and its late night service is something that I look forward to.

Bandra Kakori House is my favorite restaurant to hangout with friends for some kebabs. I love the Galawati kebab, kakori kebab, mutton biryani and shahi tukda, served here.
The kebabs served here are so delicious that they simply just melts in the mouth. I must say they serve best biryani in town and Shahi Tukda is just out of this world. I bet you will not get better shahi tukda anywhere else.
