A fire show, bael gadi and ghoda gadi rides. A toy train and viewmaster for children. Life's a mela when you're at Chokhi Dhani! Spread over 5 acres of land, beautifully landscaped to offer a rustic look, this dining experience features the ethnic village culture and vegetarian cuisine of Rajasthan. Machans and platforms, folk-dancer performances, turbaned men in kurtas and dhotis welcoming you with Ram, Ram Sa!, trumpets, giant wheels, balloon-shooting, puppet dances and ghumroo performances add to the excitement. Sit on the floor (on mattresses) and enjoy a traditional vegetarian Rajasthani Thali (Rs. 500 for adults and Rs. 300 for children aged 3-9), tea, snacks, and a welcome drink as you soak in the colourful madness all around. You'll find delicious Dal Bati Churma drizzled with golden desi ghee. Superb crisp Jalebis. Rotating menu; if you're lucky, when you go they'll have some of their specials which include Bajri ka Khichda, Jhodhpuri Ghata and Curry Subzi. Curry Katchori and Matki Chaat are popular snacks. The mela is an evening affair and like most fairs, they don't serve alcohol or accept credit cards.

Looking out for a cultural evening with family and friends.. and dont mind travelling an extra mile.. This is where you should head.. we have been to Kalyan Bhiwandi Chowki Dhani almost 5 times now.. and with a different group every time, and there wasnt a single instance where we didnt thoroughly enjoyed the experience.. The Food is only one part of the experience.. The Mela ambience, hospitable staff, the joyous aura of the place, and whole lot of fun things to watch and do make it all for a good evening.. You can enjoy a traditional Kathputli dance, make a pot for yourself, dance to the tunes of Rajasthani folk, ride a camel or a bullock, rock n roll on a Big Wheel, try your hand at darting or a Bow n Arrow game... even watch a Bioscope... Once you are done with all this, you can settle down for a sumptous dinner.. an array of mouth watering dishes.. served fresh, hot and with lot of warmth.. I am sure nobody would complaint for the food considering the way it is served... its much more than a full 3 course meal... lots to choose from..
Head to kalyan, you wont regret the effort.. One last suggestion, try and reach there by 6-- 6:30.. for the place closes by 11.. nd you too wont like to travel on a highway back home that late at night..
Cheers..

If you are a rajasthani food lover, you will surely love the place. Dal ,bati, churma are amazing out here. The place serves authentic rajasthani food, the interiors of the place go well with the kind of food they serve.
