Over the last three years, Maido India, a young and dynamic entrepreneurial venture, has worked tirelessly to ”bring Japan closer to India through food, art and culture.” There have been various innovative concepts as well, of which the latest is Sushi & More, a stand-alone sushi store (India’s first). Walk in to find a wide range of freshly prepared (extremely affordable with almost all items under Rs. 500) takeaway Japanese cuisine, including sushi (of couse) and more - Tempuras, Gyozas, Bento Boxes, Teriyaki Skewers, Miso Soup, all tweaked to suit the Indian palate, without compromising too much of the authenticity of the product. Soothing and tranquil zen-like music plays in the background. Retail products such as Kikkoman Soy Sauces, Miso Soups, Wasabi Pastes, etc. are also available on the shelves. Although there are three small bar stools and a counter for those who’d like to eat their sushi in a hurry, it’s primarily takeaway. Fresh ingredients (a combination of basic ones from Japan and others sourced locally), hygiene, food safety and delicate storage have kept customers coming since May. Affordable sushi for the masses, tastily made. Home-delivered too.

I didnt know that sushi can taste so good before coming in to this place. I went here with my college friends and we all loved it. Service can be faster but it was an allright experience.
