Mumbaikars are enjoying the wild experience at Rainforest Restobar - they've popped up in Andheri over the last year and, as this book goes to press, are planning to open in Bandra-Kurla too. Cosy up with monkeys and crocodiles against the murmur of waterfalls and dig into their multi-cuisine Indian, Chinese and Italian menu. Pop in for their buffet lunches - a soup, salad and three main courses all topped off with dessert for only Rs. 425. The extensive a la carte menu features pastas (Canneloni Florentine and even Prawn Lasagne; risotto too), dim sums and platters. Pomfret, Prawn and Rawas are there on the menu for seafood lovers prepared in Goan, Tandoori and Malwani styles. Amritsari Masala and Malwani Fish Curry are a few other dishes. All the usual Chinese (Fish Lemon Garlic, Prawns in chilli sauce) and Italian (Pollo Lasagne) suspects can be had here. Sizzlers can even be prepared in Chinese and Italian styles as per preferences. Indian specialities include Murgh Mussallam and Chicken Tandoori Masala along with Dal Makhni. Good array for vegetarians: Paneer Butter Pepper, Vegetables in Oyster Sauce, Amritsar Chhole, Cheese Bhindi Masala, Vegetables in Hoisin, Paneer, Lemon Cilantro Sauce, Vegetables in Green Pepper Sauce, and many more. For dessert, try the Sizzling Brownie or Tiramisu, I look forward to experiencing the jungle soon.

Went to rainforest belapur today after a long time, we used visit the place regularly... however, they served us stale brownie. and of all the desserts in the menu, they only had 4 available. this is was the second time this happened.. BIG turn off! i mean come ON... the sizzling 'stale' brownie had no sizzle and lacked the very essence... i am completely let down by the experience!
majority of the delicacies are bland and absolutely flat in taste. only a selective ones are okay-ish! And as i have mentioned above, of all the 10-15 dessert choices, they serve only four. Above all, they'll charge you separate VAT and service tax for food and alcohol. Not just that, we had ordered the 'stale brownie' later, so what they did was, billed it separately and charged extra vat and service tax on that.
Frankly just avoid going there.. there are better diners in the same area like rude lounge, rockville, kaktus bar and grill...
