Here's a vegetarian's idea of bliss - the traditional Thacker's Gujarati thali against the backdrop of the beautiful sea served on the first floor of Dilip and Jayshree Thacker's Marine Drive, floor-to-ceiling glass walled restaurant. For Rs. 332, enjoy popular favourites like Aloo Raswalla, Gujarati Patti Samosa, Rasmalai, Damni Dhokla, Kand Kachori, Undhiyu, Turia Patra, Surti Dal, Kadhi. If they're not available with the thali when you visit, you may order la carte. Also from the menu try the popular chaat (Pani Puri, Sev Puri and Dahi Batata Puri in particular), Dal Dhokli, Pankti, Handvo and Khichyu. Indulge your sweet tooth with their unique Mosambi Hand-churned Ice-cream, Roasted Almond Ice-cream, Kesar Shrikhand or Raj Jambu (gulabjamun stuffed with kesari). For those in your group who crave European food, pizzas and pastas are available (neither these nor the North Indian la carte options are my favourites, but they are popular with vegetarians and Jains).
