At the time of this book going to press, the popular Bharat Dairy and Juice Centre's kitchen was under renovation and menu selections limited. The Gupta brothers’ four decade strong thriving Chowpatty-based snack centre is characterized by long lines of cars snaking around the lanes of the Bharatiya Vidya Bavan. Fatafat service and chatpata snacks. Pao Bhaji (Rs. 75/85); Idli (Rs. 35/45) Dosa (Rs. 50/60/70), Grilled Toast (Rs. 110/105), pizza (95/105) Paneer Roll (Rs. 55/65) and more. Hand-chruned ice-creams (Rs. 35/scoop onwards) have Indian flavours like Rajasthani Sancha, Kesar Pista, Kaju, Sitaphal and more. Milkshakes (Rs. 110), freshly squeezed juices (even Anjeer and Grape), seasonal fruits with cream and lassis are all served in largish beer mugs and more than sufficient for one.
