Its traditional Chinese red-lantern decor and red-and-white napkins are as spiffy as ever. Go to this centrally located and oldest surviving Chinese restaurant for minimal fuss and more or less decent Chinese fare at reasonable prices. Kamling continues to serve old favourites and has options of large or small portions (which is a great plus point). Roast Chicken is succulent, old-style Pork Sweet and Sour passes muster - standard, predictable Chinese fare, and a good selection of pork dishes. The Roast Pork and Beef Chilli are particularly good (you can also order the special Steamed Pork in advance) as are the plump spring rolls. The veggies are lacklustre and the Steamboat, served in a brass container on the table, is okayish. There's also a VFM Buffet Lunch (noon to 2.45pm; Rs. 500). Three brands of beer and Sula red and white wine are all they offer. Do remember, it's a great place for a very late lunch or early dinner, as it is open through the day. P.S. This restaurant is a great favourite with Shashi Kapoor and his family (it was Karan Kapoor who introduced me to the Chimney Soup here several years ago).

its a good place with to dine with your special one , but the pricing is way beyond its service and the food , the quality of food provided. since my last visit , i decided i would never visit again , though i was the only one taking my food at 4pm with no other customers in the whole restaurant , the service was slow, exceptionally slow and low responsive
