As good as ever. Looking for good value and reliable Indian and club-style Continental fare? This way, please. I take my hat off to this well-located restaurant for digging its heels in, adapting to the times, and continuing to deliver for more than half a century. It started off as Maison Vienna before it was bought over by the present owners (Lambas). Its present, modern twin-levelled, gleaming avatar attracts crowds. Butter Chicken buffs, head here; the explosion of flavour of the Murgh Makhni, with just that right whisper of sweetness and lushness of cream, makes it numero uno. Personally, it is the seductively spiced, plump Fish Tikkas that work the magic. The Fish Meuniere, Chicken Chasseur, Chicken with Bacon, Mutton Rogan Josh, Lobster Thermidor and Baked Alaska are as good as ever. They have recently added on a range of pastas with the likes of Spaghetti Carbonara, Spaghetti Bolognaise and Moussaka too. In cooler times, sit out in the plant-filled patio and watch the world go by. The place has a VFM bakery too. P.S. This restaurant reminds me of the yesteryear actor Dev Anand… it's evergreen and consistently charming like him!

Gaylords is a great place for just hanging out or relaxing. The ambience may not be the best but the the quality of the food makes up for it, don't forget to try the dozens of varieties of breads and pastries they have to offer.

Everytime I go to this restaurant, I come back totally satisfied. Yummy Indian old style food served by bearers who are all older than 50 years :) The food is so yummy and light that it leaves you totally satisfied. The restaurant has this old South Mumbai look an feel with loads of firangis hanging out. It is always full so you need to always beg them for a table. The food takes a while to come but it is so yoummy that you land up doing nothing but concentrating on the food and polishing off your plate.
Next to Gaylords there is a Parsi ice cream dairy called 'Rustomjee' which you have to go post your meal to choose from a whole range of home made icecream flavours which completes my visit to Gaylord!
