Lovingly known as Mondy's, this no-frills, open-through-the-day Colaba eatery features in every tourist guide. Come for the American diner meets Indy-pop kitschy cool vive, menu mix of VFM snacks ( most between Rs. 200 and Rs. 300). meals (all below Rs. 500) and mugs or pitchers of Draught Beer (international and local varieties available Mario Miranda's colourful cartoons adorn the walls and the jammin jukebox blares with popular retro tunes. It's a popular breakfast destination (greasy Omelettes, Keema Pao, waffles, pancakes, Baked Beans on Toast and Eggs here). Much of the food is oversauced or too greasy (including tikkas, kebabs and the popular American Mixed Grill as well as the Mixed Seafood Platter), but most sip on their wine or Iced Tea and take in the activity all around. You may just fall in love with the vibe of this place and even stop to pick up Mondy's beer mugs, T-shirts, caps and jute bags.
