Even if you aren't a ”terror tourist”, you may want to pop into this high-ceilinged Colaba cafe to nurse your draught beer, nibble on reasonably priced sandwiches, Chicken Tikka Masala and Beef Chilli Fry. This 144-year-old and cheerful, buzzing and bustling Colaba eatery has entered history books and tourist guides thanks to the terror attack (which started here) and its mention in the book Shantaram. Eric Anthony the manager showed me the bullet holes in the walls and windows (which are going to be preserved as they are). This place is open for breakfast, and health buffs can dip into the large fresh fruit juice bar and the mueslis. The dishes are varied and range from Toast Butter, Akuri and Chicken Biryani to Garlic Chicken, noodles and pastas. The portions are large. Ask for the ”beer tower”, which constitutes two pitchers. The first-floor pub - Leo Square - is open from 1pm until past midnight.
