This cherished Colaba cafe (143 years and counting) is a beloved Mumbai landmark and historical icon both rolled into one. Cheap and cheerful, buzzing and bustling, this high-ceilinged cafe serves beer towers (two pitchers), glasses of draught beer and, of course, complimentary peanuts to go with it all. Cocktails include Hakoona Matata (yes, Lion King-inspired), Between the Sheets, Dart in the Dark and Cupid's Arrow. Mocktails like Fruit Punch and Tropicana and more. A DJ rocks the house from 7pm onwards; the first floor pub is where all action takes place - they stay open from 1pm and keep going past midnight. Nibble on reasonably priced and generous portions of sandwiches, Chicken Tikka Masala and Beef Chilli Fry. Dishes are varied and range from Toast Butter and Akuri to noodles, pastas and even Chicken Biryani.
P.S. Tourist guides and history books have this place down thanks to the terror attack which began here and also the noteable mention in Shantaram.

I'v visited dis place n number of times...the upper level of dis cafe holds special place in my heart...the ambiance is romantic..the food is delicious..

I personally love this place a lot. I visited this place thrice after 26/11 attacks. The ambience is great, the buzzing music and the clanking of beer bottles. Food is just average nothing great, but you can always munch on something like Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Biryani, noodles and pastas. Waiters are friendly. A must visit for all mumbaikars.
