Popular and rocking. Dramatically sliding glass panels and lotus ponds spin a cocoon of privacy around each table at this Asian-Japanese restaurant behind Radio Club in Colaba. The well-travelled duo — Aditya Kilachand and Vickrant Chougule - ensure that no detail is overlooked. The delicate and unerringly rendered Chilean Sea Bass, Pepper-Crusted Black Cod and Teriyaki Tofu are as good as ever. Sushi and sashimi are average, but the trendy Japanese Robata Grill (with open flames) on display produces delicacies served with Japanese sauces and condiments. Vegetarians may select from Crisp Tempura Vegetables, Spicy Kochuzang Sauce, sushi and more from the a la carte menu. Although some dishes need finetuning, the Chargrilled Scallops in Butter are brilliantly rendered. Chef James reports "Lamb in Wasabi Sauce and Prawns with creamy, spicy sauce are absolutely rocking at Tetsuma". He invites you to try those "rocking" prawns at the Sunday Brunch (Rs. 1,500 per person; 50 per cent discount for children from 5-12 years ) which features 35 dishes including a salad bar and desserts with unlimited house wine. Ask about their Bento Boxes at lunch on weekdays - they have the Garden Bento (Rs. 560) for the vegetarians, the Oishi (good taste/food) Bento (Rs. 750) for the non-vegetarians, the Sushi Bento (Rs. 773/826) for Japanese food buffs and the Signature Bento (Rs. 844+ imported items only) for the connoisseurs. Tetsuma remains a popular destination both for the uninitiated and the experienced, especially on Monday nights when they have a Chef's Banquet - a special menu of their best and most diverse offerings (Rs. 1,500 per person which includes a glass of house wine).

At Tetsuma let the good Indian and Japanese cuisine roll with sound of music and super fast staff service. This place has awesome Sunday Brunch where one can come with family and spicy food to jazz up the taste buds. Robata Grill, Sushi, Bento and the lists can go on and on. The Chef constantly delivers great tastes with each and every dish that is served at the Tetsuma restaurant.

Since a while I was craving for some yummy and delicious Japanese food. A friend took me to Tetsuma. I loved the interiors of the place. It was elegant and lavish. I had Chilean Sea Bass, Pepper-Crusted Black Cod and Sushi. I feel Japanese cuisine is incomplete without Sushi. I found Pepper-Crusted Black Cod quite scrumptious, but Sushi was not up to the expectation. Though Sushi was not good, but I can never miss a chance to visit Tetsuma again.

When you walk into Tetsuma, you expect a good japanese meal and they are always upto your expectations. The whole place has a very clean, modern and expensive feel to it. Sea Bass, Pepper-crusted Black Cod and Teriyaki Tofu tastes amazing as always, altho
