The fare here is flavoursome, well-priced, masaledaar but greasy. Only one Delhi Darbar in the city bears the hallowed name (other branches have become Jaffer Bhai’s Delhi Darbar) and it stands proud in Colaba, bustling with Arabs and flowery table mats. Biryani, Palak Gosht, White Mutton Bheja Masala, Bheja Plain Fry and Chicken Tandoori are the hands-down winners here. Chef’s specials include Chicken Lagbara, Dum Gosht and Rogan Josh. You can’t go wrong with their kebabs and kormas either. Make it a Mughlai meal please and do yourself a favour by skipping the Chinese. Darbar Faluda, the crowd-pleasing Caramel Custard, Dudhi Halwa or Phirni are great ways to cap off Mumbai’s version of Delhi Mughlai. P.S. Monday: Chicken Patiala and Mutton Mughlai; Tuesday: Dum Ghost and Chicken Leg Burrah; Wednesday: Murgh Nargis, Mutton Kashmiri, Rogan Gosht, Mutton Khichda, Chicken Angaara; Thursday: Chicken Patiala, Mumtaaz Badami Korma; Friday: Mutton do Pyaza, Murgh Nargis, Chicken Leg Burrah, Mutton Mughlai; Saturday: Dum Gosht and Chicken Angaara, Mutton Kashmiri, Mutton Khichda; Sunday: Mutton Kashmiri, Mutton Kashmiri Rogan Josh, Murgh Nargis and Chicken Angaara.

As the Head of an IT corporation, I often have to take my offshore clients on trips which are much more than just business, when they arrive here in Mumbai. In such trips, I make it a point to visit Delhi Darbar Mumbai restaurant, which has just the right blend of tradition and contemporary values to proffer an enticing feel of Indian and Mughlai cuisine. Hats off to you guys at Delhi Darbar, I could present an ambient and nice manifestation of Mughlai Taste.

Delhi Darbar at Colaba Causeway needs no introduction. An Award Winning brand restaurant which has transformed itself into a legacy for Mumbaikars. On our recent visit, i can say that the 33 year old restaurant has made a niche for its famous Mughlai cuisine, the delectable Bombay Biryani and Tandoori Chicken. The restaurant has always been busy and vibrant place of business from politicians, businessmen, artists to bollywood. The food was just to our expectations, and the quality absolutely authentic. Good Value for money !!

They serve some great Non vegetarian stuff here...amongst my favourites are biryanis and kebabs. Not a place for weight watchers.
Go and enjoy a heavy and delightful meal.
