Since 1959, the Great Punjab Restaurant & Bar has been serving authentic Punjabi-style fare along with an oil-free food menu (only in Bandra but give me the original version any day!) and fusion food options (Bandra branch) in three locations (Bandra, Dadar and Powai) over Mumbai. You must order the Chicken Seekh Kebab and Chicken Koyka Kebab. Chicken Kali Miri, Makki di Roti, Sarson da Saag, Missi Roti, Dal Makhni, Chicken Karela Kebab, Paneer Kadhai or Makhni can be washed down with a Punjabi Lassi or a peg of hard drink. They began at Dadar, expanded to the popular Bandra location with its distinctive décor: bright blues, wooden beams and framed wheat stalks, and also have a small but cheery Powai branch.
