Mughlai fans and nightbirds alike descend upon this immensely popular South Mumbai hangout, open until 4am daily. Cosy and appealing air-conditioned interiors belie its Crawford Market surroundings. Zaffrani Butter Chicken (signature), Nihari Gosht, Zaffrani Murgh Masalam or the subtle and creamy Murgh Zaffrani Tikka are often delivered to nearby offices as lunch orders during the day. Zaffran-e-Raan, Mutton Chelo Kebab, Jhinga Nisha Zaffrani and Rogan Josh (Rs. 200 onwards) are some of the Chef's specials. Vegetarians enjoy the signature Zaffrani Paneer Makhni, Pudina or Achaari Paneer Tikka, Dal Tadke Wali and Makai ka Hara Bhara Kebab with crisp Tandoori Roti and Zaffrani Taftan. Don't miss the creamy Zaffrani Lassi (made of hung curd) and finish with the superlative Khubani ka Meetha. Chef Chetan Sethi's Chinese menu isn't bad, but the trademark dishes of the young and enterprising Chetan Sethi and Munib Biryas are consistently good at this well-priced eatery.

food is good but heavy so my suggestion is not to eat in night as it is not going to digest properly.
Favorite Dishes / Drinks: biryani chicken

Chicken bharta was awesome, the chicken buna was good, roomalis just melted in our mouth, the chello kebab was a bit too sweet though, almost like kheer, a bit of a disappointment, but overall zaffran remains one of the best options for a mid night meal in south mumbai.
