Attend the book launch of 'A Look Inside Hermes' Ateliers' which is a unique compilation of brightly hued shots of the famous French label's padlock against crocodile leather. The allusion of a Birkin handle in the book, and its distinctive orange satchel will cause many a fashionista a quick thrill. The book is a result of an opportunity that was given to South African photographer Koto Bolofo, of unlimited access for seven years to shoot each of the brand's 11 departments. The photos assembled in the book are black-and-white in colour, and are indicative of the house's refined aesthetic. Since the photographs are not for sale, the book, luxuriously produced by German publishing house Steidl, comprises of the photographs, and is available at a price of Rs.14350.
