Bjorn Akesson is one of the Swedish Sensations of Trance, signed up on Armada Bjorn Started his DJing Career in the Early 90's. Bjorn has captured fans with his eclectic music journey, producing and mixing some of the best trance anthems of the last decade. This promises to be a Enthralling DJ Experience.
Bjorn Akesson was born in 1986, in a town called Lund (Southern Sweden). He first noticed electronic music in the middle of the 90s when he heard music from a videogame called Wipeout 2097. With artists such as Future Sound of London, The Prodigy and Orbital, the interest grew. A few years later a friend from school introduced Bjorn to trance/club music. This sounded a lot better and much more interesting than the techno he had heard before.
In early 2003 Bjorn teamed up with a fellow Swedish producer for a collaboration. The track was called 'Havannah - Havannah'. Havannah was played by top DJs like Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Johan Gielen, The Thrillseekers and many others. After this collaboration Bjorn continued making his own tunes and a few years later he launched the "Akesson" project which made a big impact on Above & Beyonds radio show 'Trance Around The World'.
In early 2008 the track 'Perfect Blue' was introduced to the world as 'Tune Of The Week' by Armin van Buuren on his huge radio show 'A State Of Trance'. Both Sunchaser and Perfect Blue was very well recieved by the trance community and appeared on several big compilations mixed by world class DJs and released by huge record companies such as Sony BMG, EMI and Ministry Of Sound.
This is surely the beginning of a very successful music career for the talented young man. Today you can find Bjorn on his way out to the clubs all over Europe making his epic DJ appearances. So keep an eye out!
