Seafood lovers who want to enjoy a trip down the coast at their table sail in here regularly for the popular Mangalorean seafood. This twin-level eatery, carefully tucked away in a narrow Fort bylane, exudes old-world charm with bow-tie wearing waiters moving elegantly under a wooden Scandinavian-style ceiling. In the evenings, 6pm to 8pm (Monday to Saturday) are the designated Happy Hours and long queues of families and foreigners wait their turn for dinner, while office workers throng the place during the day. Those with a hankering for tastes from the Mangalorean coast can order Seared Surmai/Pomfret Thekdi, Fish Caravali and Yetti Gassi. Carnivores should go for the lip-smacking Chicken Kori Adajina while herbivores have a wide selection of special vegetables, and can also give the Neer Dosa or Paneer Tikka Masala a shot. Mughlai dishes are pretty average (Kadhai Paneer, Tandoori Prawns) and the Chinese fare is avoidable - "fruits de mer" or fruits of the sea is, after all, the jewel of this crown!

Ankur is a must visit place for Mangalorean seafood dish lovers. This restaurant is a secluded beauty and coming here is always a lot fun experience with family and friends. The seafood dishes are superb in preparation and taste. Do try their Surmai Thekdi and Paneer Tikka Masala that are absolutely out of the world.
Ankur restaurant is helping me to realize the beauty of great food.

This place is always packet, no matter at what time you go. The seafood dishes are cooked in typical Mangalorean style and pomfret and prawn dishes are absolute delight. Also the interior is also very attractive and enjoyable....
