What is common about the two Shers across the street from one another at Ballard Estate? Authentic Punju food! You can opt for the fancier one that has a refreshing feel with a low ceiling and stained-glass window ambience, but does not have a bar. The one with the bar, on the other side of the street, has longer rooms. Spicy Chicken Kali Mirch and juicy Banjara Kebab... delicious. Lahsuni Chicken, Lahsuni Paneer, Sarson da Saag with Makki di Roti, a robust, gravy version of Bhuna Mutton, Chicken Adraki and Tandoori Fish are all good. There's a wide array of paneer items for vegetarians. Check out their new Cocktail Samosas and Cheese Chilli Kebabs. They do serve Chinese (the usual Chicken Manchurian, fried rice), but at Sher, it's best to skip that part of the menu.

Less than 5 mins walk from CST stn, this is one of oldest place in Mumbai which serves true authentic punjabi food. The name itself suggests you should visit the place.I am a veg. I have tasted chana masala, sarso da saag, rotis, raita and paneer stuff. Good preparation and also good quantity.Recommended for all who want to taste true authentic punjabi food.

Real taste of Punjabi food .. Good tasty tandoori roties.. service was little late ... But the quantity of food given per dish was good.. Whenever, go to this restaurant, order less as they give plate full of food per dish...

Went sher-e-punjab just two days back with my family. We had nice time, obviously with family and friends, you can enjoy anywhere and everywhere. We had soups, starters and dinner, the food was so so types, but most I like the service. The dcor was not at all striking. I had Veg Manchow Soup, however, my sister took Tomato Soup which was more like a Ketchup. We also had panner tikka, which was good and chutney was awesome. For the main course, we decided to have Dal Makhani, which was not at all good. Dal Tadka was much better and Veg Kadhai was delicious. The service was quite good, waiters were prompt and friendly. Overall, I found few things good and few very bad at sher-e-punjab.
