As this book goes to press, the year-old Casa Mia in Ghatkopar's R-City Mall gets a total revamp - from homestyle Italian, it's become a European/Global cuisine affair, complete with pizzas and pastas and more. Choose your ambience - they have three sections that set three moods: a lounge and bar for those looking to grab a drink before a movie , a cafe section for those wanting to catch up over casual conversation (newspapers, magazines et al. and an extensive coffee menu too) and a dining section too (of course). The cafe offers soups, salads, side-dishes, sandwiches, burgers and desserts to go with that Cafe au Lait. While they still stock that imported Seroni beer at the bar, they've scaled down the wine selection - you'll only find local Indian wines here now, mostly Sula. Head here for lunch in the afternoon and ask for their Value Meal — soup, starter, main course and dessert with one soft drink for the rock-bottom price of Rs. 375 (Mon-Fri: Noon to 4pm only). New a la carte specials include Lemon Pepper Chicken, Penne in Tomato Pesto Cream Sauce, Veg Stroganoff and Grilled Bassa. A special date night dinner menu for couples on Friday evenings is in the works. It'll be a fixed rate menu with a glass of champagne, soup, side dish, main course and dessert.
