If you're not a Maharashtrian food fan yet, a visit to Panshikar Aahaar might just change that! Cut through Girgaon's narrow lanes and congested traffic to reach this treasure trove of authentic Maharastrian upvaas goodies (all under Rs. 80!). Once you bite into the tasty Sabudana Vadas or dig into the filling Khichdi, you won't notice the crammed interiors of this small but neat eatery. It's packed at festival time when crowds clamour for Kothmir Vadi, Thalipeeth, Misal, Khaman Kakdi, Farali Dahi Misal, Rajgira-Puri-Bhaji, Shrikhand-Puri and Veg Korma Pulao. Finish off with Masala Milk, Sharbat or Piyush. True-blue Maratha fare!

As we entered Panshikar Aahaar, we saw the ambiance and got turn-off. However, we settled down and ordered Khichdi and Sabudana Vadas. The food was good. The yummiest Khichdi I have ever had. We also had Masala Milk and Veg Korma Pulao. Panshikar Aahaar serves good food but don’t expect ambiance to be same.

Whenever i am in this area i always make a point to visit this place and try out the best maharashtrian food. I simply love the sabudana vada and veg korma pulao. The service is very quick although the place is very crowded in the morning and the evening since it is quite small. Definately a must visit for maharashtrian food lovers.
