It sprawls on the ground floor of the Oberoi Mall in Goregaon. Femina Miss India Shriya Kishore and property redevelopment and airline tycoon Pervez Damania guided me to their premium ice-cream mecca. We dip fruits, cookies, sponge cake, mini ice-cream scoops into the pot of hot chocolate in the (more than enough for four) Häagen-Dazs Fondue (Rs. 1,300). A palatte of flavours… Dulce de Leche, Macadamia Nut Brittle and Strawberry Cheesecake; and many an inventive flavour like Green Tea (not my favourite). But the must try is the innovative Häagen-Dazs Dolce, a multi-layered flavour sensation inspired by desserts of the world, including tiramisu and crème brulée. Some of the flavours require fine tuning and some are over-the-top exotic. I love their meticulous attention to the source of ingredients: be it the six years taken to find strawberries sweet enough to carry the Häagen-Dazs name or the fresh-from-the-dairy cream of the highest quality, vanilla from Madagascar and chocolate from Belgium. It’s the slow magic of the gentle blending of these fine ingredients that results in the minimizing of air. The result? Each scoop is dense and creamy. It melts slowly, lasts longer and redefines super-premium. Sure all this comes with a big price tag and the ice creams are expensive. Haagen-Dazs comes in with its supreme combination of substance with style, tradition with modernity and service with a smile.

Wide spread, lavish and right at the center of a beautiful mall makes this desserts place a desirable destination for many. I love this place for their Cheesecakes and Belgium Chocolates. Haagen – Dazs is a sweets break from hectic shopping.

Haagen Dazs is a special place for special occasion with special someone as this place is little expensive. I like going with my better half to make special moments sweet and memorable. This desserts shop has some of the best Belgian Chocolate in the city and their Strawberry Cheesecake is the perfect ingredient for celebrating every occasion. The ambience of Haagen Dazs is also very sweet and eye catching. Simply, for my special moments this is the best venue.
