Good variety of Italian fare in a quiet corner of Juhu with a few new additions - Linguine Maronara (seafood pasta), Vegetable Medley with Pimento Rice and Hazelnut Cheesecake for dessert. Penne, with its beautiful black ceramic chandeliers (could be brighter) and warm gold-toned walls resounds with loud music in the evenings. Sunday Brunch (Rs. 1,500) is the highlight here, they say - the bountiful spread includes antipastis, cold cuts, salads, soups, pastas, cocktails and desserts. I recommend the Pizza Abruzzo with its thin crust ’n’ crunchy Ruccula, (check out the whole range of thin-crust pizzas from Classic Margherita to Pizza Pepperoni). The Penne Vodka is a bit too overdone; ditto for the John Dory with Lemon Butter. Plenty of choice here: cold and hot antipasti, starters such as Patate Ala Crema and Sicilian Garlic Chicken; crêpes; Lasagna Forno; Sea Bass Almondine, Chicken Lasagne and signature gourmet pasta dishes. Plenty of desserts too, though Tiramisu Bianco (in a glass) is too creamy and heavy and the brownies too sweet.
