Swift service, handsome, comfy décor and buffets are the highlights of this round-the-clock restaurant of the French hotel chain with international standards which attracts many a Bollywood star. The Square at Novotel has fabulous views of the sea plus you have the choice to sit outside. Low in price and high in satisfaction... their trump card is that they serve food from three of their speciality restaurants here — the ever-popular Sampan (Chinese), Olio (Italian) and Bageecha (Indian). You can be assured of a good quality buffet with plenty of interactive live stations (some dishes can be patchy, though). Buffet buffs, head to this 24-hour restaurant for Midnight Buffet (`649+); Weekday Lunch (`1,199+); and Dine-in Style Dinner (`1,499+); Sunday Brunch (`1,799 with mocktails and soft drinks; `2,299 with unlimited domestic alcohol). The homestyle Churra Paratha and Aloo Matar and the Chinese dishes come out tops but the desserts lag behind.

Check out the popular Juhu Burger, Jhinga Lahsuni, American Cheesecake and even a special Midnight Menu of appetizers, sandwiches, burgers, pastas and small meals, Indian food selection and also an array of desserts. From à la carte, Keema Pao and Pao Bhaji are strictly okay but the unerringly Grilled Fish enlivened with Lemon Butter Sauce is superb. Superb croissant and Le Notre pastries (every Saturday) are the stars of this French hotel chain.

I like this place for the openness it offers, but thats where it starts and finishes. My expectations from a hotel of such stature would be of better hospitality, service and food, but this one falls drastically short on all accounts. It could just be that more often than not, Ive visited this place rather late at night (at few instances post lunch also), but the food here is very average, mostly buffet, sucks big time...I mean Im not a fan of buffets to begin with and my preference for being so is reinstated by these guys each time around; the service questionable and definitely not of 5 star standards. They dont have a concept of hospitality at all....I really dont get it where do they manage to find such specimens....so many instances of irritant staff behavior that if I get to jotting them all town, the space here is going to fall short. Why do I still end up going to this place? Mostly cause of its proximity to where I stay and for some freaking reason its a preference for some moronic people / friends that I know...so dont have much of a choice....but after the latest experience, even if I end up going back here, Ive sworn never to order anything....period!

Tips: Has outdoor seating,Good place for couples,Good place for business meetings,Accepts reservations

i went the Square last week with some of my friends. the restaurant is really beautiful and magnificent to look. comfortable seating arrangement and cozy environment are something i loved here. it was fabulously decorated with striking interior pieces. dcor is really mesmerizing. also, the service of the restaurant is fast and waiters are well-mannered. we ordered keema pao, grilled fish and chicken tikka foccacia with mint mayo. the food was all fantastic. i enjoyed a lot. well-cooked and aromatic range of cuisines were there. service being quick was a good turn-on for the place. overall, i enjoyed a lot.
