Having discontinued their Thai menu, JW Marriott's Pan-Asian restaurant has recently ramped up its other two cuisines. However, there is a quick turnover of chefs here so you may not find the same dishes on the menu as I did. As the book goes to press, I pop in for a quick recheck. Light and delicate flavours mark the dim sum of the new dim sum chef here. Dim sums done Hong Kong-style and Chef Thomas' Cantonese fare rule the roost. While the Teppanyaki is not as popular, the sushi bar delights. Creatively paired Wasabi King Prawns with Fruits make for a great appetizer, as do the Veg California Rolls with Cheese, the Deluxe Seafood Soup and Black Mushroom Soup. Do try the unerringly steamed Chillean Seabass sparkled with garlic. It's the star here. Chef Vikas Rane helms the sushi bar (the first in the city) and rolls above-average sushi. However, it is not as popular as the Teppanyaki bar. The Black Cod prepared on the grill is average, but the Dragon Roll Sushi and Steamed Sea Bass are definitely worth trying. It's the elaborate Sunday Brunch, with its sushi counter, Teppanyaki counter, Thai curry station, noodle and soup bar, BBQ station and special dessert counter that is a big draw here. P.S. Rs.2,350 with alcohol; Rs.2,000 without alcohol; Rs.3,950 with Champagne; and Rs.1,250 for kids under 12 years of age

The ambiance of spices is really amazing and wonderful. The interiors are striking and exactly match the restaurant. I like their food as well. Dim sums, wasabi king prawns with fruits, deluxe seafood soup and black mushroom soup are really nice. Food is delicious and delectable. Deluxe seafood soup is quite filling and yummy. Service is really very fast and waiters are well-mannered. It is one of the best restaurants in the city.

Spices is definately on top of my list for oriental thai and japanese cuisine. Their sushi's and Red Lobster Curry are truely exquisite and yummy. The ambience is perfect for fine dining. You can have a quite peaceful dinner over there.
