Bandra's popular Out of the Blue is now giving Powai residents a reason to celebrate. Spa massages at a restaurant with a Spa lunch sound a bit ”Out of the Blue”? They've even got special gifts for their Spa Lunch guests. It's a space that offers connection with the surrounding community with events like art exhibitions, appointments with famous astrologers, bling and fashion bazaars, live music, makeovers by well-known brands, alcohol promotions and more (www.outoftheblue.in and facebook for updates). Indoor and outdoor seating are available at both locations, with pebbled walkways and air-conditioned comfort inside too. Barbeque Coriander Pesto Cottage Cheese is one of their unique innovations. They also have decent fondues (cracked pepper, pizza and even a desi version), tasty and creative sizzlers (gourmet or create your own) and pastas (Penne Masala Mafia). Check out the German Pork with Sage and Garlic. There are great shudh veggie options (even the Pepper Sauce here is made from veg stock) like Tofu with Charmulla, Veg Millet and Mango Yoghurt (all featured on their spa lunch menu). Desserts here - Strawberry Flan, Mars Heaven and more - are incredibly indulgent and sinful must-tries. On Mondays and Thursdays at dinner and on Saturdays and Sundays at lunch, a guitarist serenades.

Bandra is home to the finest restaurants of the city. And even amidst all these restaurants, Out of the Blue stands out. The calm atmosphere with soft music is very relaxing. I had the desi fondue and it is so delicious. I can think about it just as I am writing this review. I think you can order anything from the menu and the chef will make sure it’s cooked to perfection so that you keep wanting to come here again. I tried the dessert, thanks to the website urbanrestro through which I made my reservation and got a complimentary dessert and it was yum. A must visit.

Out of The Blue is one of my favorite restaurants to go to. Be it a Spa lunch, or just to chill with friends, the place is affordable yet serves yummy to goodness food. As much as I love their setting in Khar, I love the decor at their Powai outlet. In either case, the experience may be described as being transported to a place that makes you feel comfortable and relaxed.
I could go on about the variety of items this place has to offer on their menu, where most restaurants mix everything under the Sun in a 10 page booklet, Out Of The Blue manages to provide variety without sounding confused. They could do away with their sizzlers altogether, in my honest opinion. And here is why:
Out Of The Blue sells some of the best Fondue I have had in the city. Their Fondues are getting so increasingly popular that they have even come up with a tag line "Do You Fondue?" and if you don't, you must consider doing it. The Desi Fondue is a wonderful spin on a cheesy version of Dal Makhni, but I recommend having the Non Vegetarian tasting platter with it. I also love their Basa special on the Spa Lunch menu, and I have been trying to master the awesomeness of their Jaljeera Mojitos at home for months now. In vain.
But the clear winner out of all these, and the one thing I absolutely MUST have whenever I visit, is the Chocolate and Peanut Butter Fondue. The accompaniments include Fruit Skewers, Pound Cake and Brownies, and the Fondue in itself is the perfect balance between the chocolate and the peanut butter flavors. I highly recommend it!
All in all, Out of The Blue has proved itself every single time I have visited, and I hope they continue to do so!

Out of the blue serves awesome food specially their pastas and sizzlers.. the ambience is great, however sometimes it may get too nosy if you are sitting inside.. it is suggeste to sit outside in peace and enjoy the great food..
